Discovery Coffee We love coffee. We love sharing coffee. We love seeing your curiosity grow as you delight in all the flavours coming from the cup. In 2006, we welcomed you into the world of Discovery Coffee and opened our first cafe in Victoria, BC. Today, as our mission to take over the entire block comes into realization, we happily reside in our roastery, cafe and lounge at our downtown location while also proudly showcasing Victoria's first syphon halogen bar, as well as a beautiful space at the Oak Bay location. We are proud to be a part of the global coffee community. We've competed and judged at barista competitions, volunteered at the World Barista Championships for the past few years, organised local coffee events and have had the opportunity to share our coffee with industry legends from around the world. Discovery continues to work extremely hard to elevate coffee into the light of the culinary world by striving to better our skills and coffee every day. Our Discovery Street location is an excellent space to hold your special event. Our coffee brokers buy Direct Relationships Coffee from sustainable farms. Using socially responsible, environmental, and ethical guidelines, we purchase from the source and have people in direct relationship with the farms in each country that we purchase our coffees from. DISCOVERY DECAF You won't believe it's decaf! Smooth, sweet, balanced; this is a versatile blend of 2 Mountain Water Processed (chemical-free process) beans from Mexico and Peru, great for most brewing methods, we prefer it as espresso or French press. COLOMBIA HUILA Mellow cup with a light acidity and a lingering cocoa finish. This Colombian comes from the Huila region in Central Colombia where only 5% of the production comes from. COSTA RICA COFFEA SUAREZ Spicy and peppery. Juicy. Citrus acidity. Delicate body. The Suarez family have been proud coffee farmers since the early 70s. Gerardo Suarez senior, following in his father's footsteps, began his own small plantations with his family in the Grecia mountains. Their trees are grown in volcanic soil and along with his wife and sons they look after every step of the coffee growing and harvesting processes. EL SALVADOR FINCA ALASKA Notes of strawberries and cream. Clean. Sweet. Juicy. Amazing. From the award winning farmer Ernesto Menedez, this coffee comes from the volcanic soils of Santa Ana. BRAZIL FAZENDA NOSSA SENHORA DE FATIMA Velvet, buttery body. Mild acidity. Sweet aftertaste.
